It's the home away from home that it has been for members, their guests and reciprocal members since the club's beginnings early 1900s.

Its refurbishment was completed early in 2004 and it's again a full house at weekends to international visitors, out-of-town members and newlyweds.

Fresh paint and decorations were but minor contributors to its new look: the lounge has gleaming new wooden floors; new carpets soften the steps to accommodation and the rooms (every one now en-suite) are themselves individually finished.
The Lodge has 18 bedrooms en-suite, all beautifully appointed.

Rates are R715 per room per night for the double bedrooms and twins; and R630 per room per night for the single bedrooms. Meal costs are not included.
